Bowen for Animals

Bowen for Animals is an adaptation of Bowen that is used for human use.

Prevention

Bowen is a non-invasive, integrative soft tissue method of treatment. Through gentle "moves" over the muscles and soft tissue, a vibration is created, on one level of how Bowen addresses the body is similar to that of plucking a stringed instrument. It is through this vibration that the parasympathetic nervous system begins to be stimulated. As a result, the animal's own healing mechanisms are activated and a deep relaxation response is experienced. This relaxation response activates the organs and systems in such a way that they begin to balance out. At the same time it also increases circulation, brings oxygen to the cells, and encourages the release of hormones and nutrients throughout the body affecting the physical as well as mental, emotional, and spiritual levels of the Horse, Dog, Cat or other animal.

Horses, Dogs, Cats and other animals need not suffer or display discomfort to benefit from Bowen for Animals. Animals, like humans, greatly benefit from sessions by increasing their ability to move, overall well-being, and optimal health. The benefits animals receive from just a few sessions are tremendous for our four-legged, furry, and feathered friends that also can suffer from ailments or conditions just as we can. Some of the benefits Bowen has on animals are well noted. Enhanced Well-Being Reduced Fear & Aggression Immediate Pain Relief Accelerated Healing Response Decreased Inflammation Increased Performance Strengthened Immunity Expanded Range of Motion Better assimilation of Food and Nutrients Elimination of Toxins

Aged & Terminal Animals

There are animals who are very aged or terminally ill that are ready to move on from their earthly lives. The use of Bowen for Animals greatly assists in relaxing their ill and tired bodies to help alleviate pain and suffering helping them to remain in a more calm and relaxed state.
